FROM THE CHERRY HILL FIRE DEPARTMENT FACEBOOK PAGE:
Earlier this morning, Cherry Hill Fire Department units operated on an accident on Interstate 295. While operating at that incident, Rescue Ladder 13 was struck by a passing vehicle. The impact from the secondary accident left the motorist from the striking vehicle trapped, requiring extrication. Cherry Hill Fire Department members provided immediate aid and utilized hydraulic rescue tools to free the occupant of the second crash, who was then transported for further treatment.
Thankfully, there were no injuries to our members.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists, when approaching emergency scenes to slow down and move over to keep emergency personnel safe.
