We regret passing on that a Naples (Florida) Firefighter who contracted COVID-19, reportedly while on the job has died in the Line of Duty. Anthony “Tony” Christensen contracted the coronavirus more than a month ago. He was being treated at NCH in Naples before being transferred to Orlando on July 19 for specialized care. Tony served for 22+ years and was the recipient of multiple lifesaving awards.
MICHIGAN PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER LODD-HEART
A Bloomfield Hills Public Safety (Police/Fire) Sergeant died Sunday at the station just hours after cutting up a tree blocking a roadway. Sgt. Steven Splan, 46, was found unresponsive in the fire station at about 2300 hours in the station’s kitchen floor and immediately began performing CPR.
He was on fire duty and a tree was blocking the roadway… and since city workers had been tied up elsewhere, Sgt. Splan and other officers helped remove the tree.
Our condolences to all those affected. Rest In Peace.
Take Care. Be Careful. Pass it On.
