Incident Description: Firefighter Stafford died at home from a nature and cause of fatal injury still to be determined shortly after responding to the fire station for an emergency call.
On May 2, 73 y/o Firefighter Theodore Stafford of the Sag Harbor VFD located in New York died in the LOD

Incident Description: Firefighter Lapierre succumbed to his injury after suffering a heart attack while operating at the scene of a brush fire on April 27th, 2016.
On May 5, 58 y/o Firefighter Steven Lapierre of the Georgia VFD located in Vermont died in the LOD

Incident Description:
Fire Department: Kenly VFD Age: 45
Years of Service: Unk
Firefighter Davis responded to a motor vehicle accident and assisted other
responders with extrication of one occupant. After completion, Davis experienced chest pains.
Johnston County EMS started treatment. While in route to the hospital, Davis went into cardiac
arrest. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and Firefighter Davis succumbed to his injury.
On May 7, 45 y/o Firefighter John Davis of the Kenly VFD located in North Carolina died in the LOD
