An Oklahoma City fire brush pumper truck responding to a medical call was struck by a pickup Wednesday morning at Hefner Road and Bryant Avenue.
The collision was reported about 8 a.m., said fire Deputy Chief Cecil Clay.
The driver of the brush pumper was not hurt. He was unable to locate the driver of the pickup after the crash, Clay said.
Police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said the driver of the pickup fled on foot and had not been caught Wednesday morning.
The brush pumper was northbound on Bryant Avenue when the accident happened in the intersection. The pickup driver apparently ran a stop sign, a police officer at the scene said.
Clay said the fire truck was en route to a medical call on Eagle Pass.
