BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) – Crews with the Bossier City Fire Department struggled to put out a fire on Thursday, Feb. 18.
Firefighters were working a fire in the 200 block of John Wesley Boulevard, at the old Days Inn complex. Heavy smoke was reported at the scene.
Crews are dealing with low water pressure due to the winter storm.
The Bossier fire chief says crews were able to get three homeless individuals safely out of the condemned hotel.
The fire chief confirms a firefighter was injured while checking the rooms after falling through a hole in the third floor down to the second floor. The chief says the firefighter suffered no broken bones, but was banged up. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
