CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — Clackamas County Communications 911, also known as CCOM, had to evacuate their building Thursday because of the wildfire threat.
CCOM said its 911 center was placed in a level 2 evacuation notice and they decided to evacuate the building so they weren’t forced to do so at short notice if the evacuation notice was upgraded to a level 3.
Their top priority was to continue providing continuous services to the community.
After relocating, CCOM said they were happy to report that they moved beyond the current evacuation area without any interruption in their services. They plan to return to their center when it is safe to do so.
Anyone with an emergency should call 911 and for non emergencies, call 503-655-8211. For evacuation information, the County Public Inquiry Center will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday and will take calls at 503-655-8224.
