BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bomb threat made on Saturday afternoon, according to a news release.
The Sheriff’s Office said that 9-1-1 Dispatchers for Central Police Services got a call where a person made threats that the building was going to explode. The threat came in just before 1:30 p.m. on February 9.
According to the news release, the Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad and two explosive detection K9 teams responded to the building on 45 Elm Street in Buffalo.
After nearly two hours of searching, the K9 teams and Bomb Squad members could not find a bomb, the Sheriff’s Office said.
In the news release, the Sheriff’s Office said that deputies deemed the threat was not credible.
The investigation was turned over to Sheriff’s Detectives, the news release said.
