The Volusia County Fire Department is changing some of its policies after four Firefighters tested positive for COVID-19. County officials say a total of 19 firefighters are now at home in self-isolation, where they’ll remain for at least the next five days. The county says they can return to work if they test negative. Citing health privacy laws, the county declined to say which stations were impacted or the positions of the 19 Firefighters. They’re not sure how the four who tested positive were exposed to the virus. The county is optimistic that at least two of them could return to work soon. It is unknown where the Firefighters were exposed.
