One firefighter suffered a minor injury and one resident was displaced after a kitchen fire in an apartment at 250 McLean Ave. in Yonkers on Saturday.
The alarm went out at 1:47 a.m. Saturday morning for an apartment on the second floor of the seven-story building. The first firefighters on the scene were able to extinguish the fire, limiting the call to one alarm. By 2:10 a.m., the fire was under control but the resident will be displaced for an unspecified amount of time.
There were no other injuries reported, and only the apartment of origin was affected by fire and water damage.
Department officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
