One firefighter was taken to the hospital after falling through the floor and into the basement while battling a townhouse fire in Reston, Virginia, Wednesday.
A mayday was initially called, but cancelled once the Fairfax County firefighter was located and had no obvious injuries, fire officials told WJLA. The firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precaution and released later that morning.
Fire investigators say the fire was caused by electrical problems with recessed lights in the basement ceiling. About 100 firefighters were on scene at the two-story residential unit.
