Two Los Angeles firefighters and their patient were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning when their ambulance and a passenger car collided.
The other vehicle was attempting to make a left turn into the path of the ambulance.
Fire officials said the firefighters and their patient were listed in fair condition.
A police department spokeswoman told KTLA they do not know who is at fault, but said the ambulance was running lights and sirens.
“I don’t know whether or not the person driving this white vehicle didn’t see or didn’t hear,” said Officer Liliana Preciado with the Los Angeles Police Department. “I’m not trying to point the finger at anyone here, but we know they were operating in a code three manner and that vehicle then moved in front of them.”
Firefighters extricated the driver of the passenger vehicle, which was wedged between two pole.
