Firefighters battled a 3-alarm fire at a Westlake Hills home for hours Sunday morning, calling multiple times for help from crews from other agencies.
The homeowners of a house at the 500 block of Buckeye Trail woke up around 7 a.m. to the smell of smoke and called 911.

An hour after the initial call, the fire was upgraded to a 2-alarm fire so more units could respond and assist with the firefighting effort.
