The Shreveport Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire at Captain D’s restaurant in Shreveport early Saturday morning.
At 3:34 a.m., Shreveport firefighters were notified of a possible commercial fire at the Captain D’s restaurant, located at 7798 Youree Drive, and arrived on the scene about four minutes later, according to a news release.
The responding crew, firefighters from Fire Station 3, found smoke and flames coming from the kitchen.
Firefighters were able to enter the building and extinguish the fire. The fire was brought under control at 4:02 a.m.
The business was closed and so no employees or citizens were injured. However, a firefighter was injured and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
Shreveport Fire Department dispatched 11 fire units and 30 firefighters to the emergency. This situation is under investigation by Shreveport Fire Investigators.
