After a crash on Sunday night that left 3 people injured firefighters and lawmakers want accident scenes to be treated like construction zones with stiffer penalties.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department said a 48-year-old man was seriously injured after rear ending a fire truck Sunday night.
According to a news release, the crash happened around 8 p.m. on Highway 10 near Morgan Drive near Waupaca. Investigators said the fire truck did have its lights activated.
Two fire department employees suffered minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
