By Travis Kellar, PennLive:
State police are investigating an altercation between a firefighter and a trooper that resulted in the firefighter briefly being placed in handcuffs.
Troopers were dispatched at 7:50 p.m. Sunday to Interstate 83 southbound at mile marker 16 in York County for a report of a one-vehicle crash with entrapment.
Troopers arrived to find a man inside a vehicle who was unable to open the door as he was showing signs of a suspected overdose, state police said. Troopers then had to break out a passenger-side window to enter the vehicle and administer Narcan to the man.
A firefighter became upset at troopers because they were breaking the glass to help the man, state police said. One of the troopers then ordered the firefighter to leave the scene, but the firefighter refused to do so.
