An idiot drove over a bicyclist Wednesday before attempting to set himself and a firefighter on fire, police said. Lloyd Morris Calhoun, 58, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and arson charges. He was being held on $500,000 bond, according to an arrest affidavit. He could also face first-degree murder charges stemming from the bicyclist’s death, investigators said.
Firefighters responding to 35-year-old Marsha Johnson’s injuries then saw Calhoun trying to light himself on fire, according to a police report.
He then sprayed a liquid that smelled like gasoline onto fire Lt. William Fazio and attempted to ignite it with an acetylene torch and sparking device, police said. Calhoun then crashed his vehicle into an Orlando house.
Fazio doused Calhoun with water, and authorities eventually pulled him from the vehicle, according to the police report.
