OHIO FIREFIGHTER DIES FROM CHEMICAL EXPOSURE-LODD
We regret to pass on that industrial Firefighter Kenny Ray Jr., 32, died in the Line of Duty on 3/20
from a nitrogen exposure. Part of the Timken Steel Fire & Security unit (Canton, Ohio, he was also a Firefighter/EMT with the Uniontown Fire Department for 11 years and an officer at the Atwater Fire Department since February.
According to company officials, Ray was checking fire extinguishers throughout the plant when members of the security team found him unresponsive in a fifth-floor elevator motor room. Nitrogen exposure is suspected as a cause in his death. The incident remains under investigation by Timken Steel, local, state and federal authorities. Our condolences o all those affected. RIP.
