COLUMBUS, Ohio -

One man is in police custody for suspected drunk driving after he allegedly crashed into a medic Thursday morning.

Columbus police received a call from Columbus fire Medic 32 regarding a suspected drunk driver on the southeast side of the city, at about 2:48 a.m.

The driver of the medic spotted the driver and followed his vehicle to Upperidge Drive near Treehouse Lane where the vehicle came to a stop.

The driver of the medic attempted to box the man's vehicle in, at which time the man allegedly the man struck Medic 32 with his vehicle.

Columbus police say the man has been arrested on suspicion of OVI.

No injuries were reported.
