September ambulance crash contributed to woman's death, coroner says - Nevada

Friday, January 11, 2013 By Joyce Lupiani

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has released the official cause of death for the woman who died after an ambulance crash in September in northeast Las Vegas.

63-year-old Dorothy Anita Gray died from a brain hemorrhage and blunt force trauma as a result of the accident.

The crash between an ambulance and a Nissan Frontier happened at about 10:30 a.m. Sept. 4. Teri White was being transported to Mountain View Hospital at the time of the accident.

A North Las Vegas firefighter, an emergency medical technician and two MedicWest personnel also received minor injuries in the crash.

Teri White, the daughter of Dorothy Gray, said shortly after the accident that she believed her mother died as a result of the crash.
