A Colleton County fire truck was involved in a
three-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
According to Colleton Fire and Rescue officials,
the fire truck was headed south on the ACE Basin Parkway when a vehicle in
front of the truck side-swiped a concrete barrier. Another truck had to stop
because of the car hitting the barricade, which is when the fire truck
rear-ended the truck, officials said.
The fire truck veered into the northbound lane,
which forced an oncoming tractor trailer into a ditch. The fire truck and
tractor trailer did not collide, but a piece of machinery was dislodged and hit
the fire truck.
No one was injured in the accident, officials
said.
