The morning commute on Interstate 84 was slowed
by three separate accidents near Five Mile Road, including one involving a
Boise Fire Department truck.
Ada County dispatch says firefighters were
responding to a two-car injury accident in the westbound lanes just after 8
a.m. when the driver of an SUV slammed into the back of their fire truck. No
one was injured in that crash.
Dispatch tells that one woman was hurt in the
first crash and transported to the hospital.
Around that same time, there was a third
accident involving three vehicles. Idaho State Police responded to the scene.
Traffic was backed up on I-84 in both directions
for more than an hour.
Troopers say drivers need to slow down and keep
a safe distance. Weather does not appear to be a factor in these accidents.
