SAN DIEGO - A private ambulance crashed off Interstate 15 in Mission Valley Friday afternoon, but no one was injured.
The northbound emergency-transport vehicle spun out of control for unknown reasons and veered off the freeway near Interstate 8 about 3:40 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The van, operated by CARE Ambulance San Diego, wound up roughly 65 feet down an embankment, said Maurice Luque, a spokesman for the city Fire-Rescue Department.
No one required medical care due to the accident, Luque said. It was unclear how many people were in the ambulance at the time of the crash, or if a patient was aboard.
