Several injured in rollover ambulance crash - Oklahoma

Friday, November 23, 2012 A Midwest City ambulance was involved in a rollover crash near West Memorial Road and Meridian Avenue on Thursday.

Police said the ambulance ended up on its side near the intersection.

Investigators said the crash happened when an SUV and the ambulance collided in the intersection.

The SUV driver told KOCO-TV that they had a green light and didn't hear the ambulance's siren.

The Emergency Medical Services Authority said four people were in the back of the ambulance at the time of the wreck.

Officials later said three ambulance staffers and one patient were taken to Mercy Hospital in good condition.

Firefighters said none of the injuries was serious.

The crash happened near the Oklahoma Heart Hospital.
