Wednesday, November 21, 2012 One firefighter suffered a minor injury as crews fought a blaze on the 1200 block of Knollwood Drive late Tuesday afternoon.

The fire reportedly began in the kitchen around 4:15 p.m., according to firefighters on the scene. One firefighter suffered an injury as he fell from the second floor of the house after a wall collapsed, according to officials on scene. The firefighter was sent to the hospital for treatment, but the injury was believed to be serious.

Residents were home when the blaze began, but everyone made it out safely, according to officials. The house was completely gutted and heavy smoke continued in the rear of the home nearly two hours after the blaze began.

No cause has been reported yet and the fire remains under investigation.

Goshen Fire Company, West Chester Fame, West Chester First, West Chester Good Will, Chester County fire marshals and West Goshen police assisted on the scene.
