Friday, November 9, 2012 LONG BEACH, Calif. – A medic with the Long Beach Fire Department was injured Thursday when his rescue truck collided with a catering truck.

The unit was transporting a patient to a local hospital with lights and siren activated at the time of the incident, according to The Press Telegram.

The medic suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He and original patient were both taken to the hospital for treatment.
