On Wednesday, John M. Hall, a deputy Fire Marshal with
Bladen County, died from complications associated with heart issues. He
reportedly became ill while responding to a house fire last Saturday.
Hall, 48, of Bladenboro was an active with the Bladenboro FD and a Deputy Chief
with the Clarkton FD.
Kernersville Fire Rescue Chief Walt Summerville died
unexpectedly from a possible heart attack at his home shortly after leaving
work Wednesday November 7, 2012. Chief Summerville had responded to a reported
triple shooting late in the afternoon of the previous day and had not been
feeling well afterwards. He participated in a town-wide United Way benefit on
Wednesday afternoon prior to leaving due to not feeling well and was later
found in cardiac arrest at his home.
As we previously reported, On Tuesday, David Tatum, 55, a
Lieutenant with the White Oak FD, died after complaints of feeling ill while
responding to a vehicle fire on Monday. He was taken to Bladen County Hospital
before being transferred to another where he was put on life support and then
passed away.
