Two people were injured in an accident involving an ambulance at Frankfort Avenue and Lexington Road Thursday morning.
According to police, the ambulance was headed east on Frankfort, transporting a patient with lights and siren on when an woman driving a blue Buick turning from Shelbyville Road onto Lexington pulled out in front of the ambulance, causing the crash.
An additional ambulance was called to continue the original passenger transport.
A male worker on the EMS truck, who was working on a passenger being transported, was taken to University Hospital with shoulder pain.
The driver of the Buick was taken to Baptist Hospital to be checked out.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, but no charges have been filed at this time.
