It is with deep regret that we report the Line of Duty Death of a Chicago, IL Firefighter this evening. The firefighter died after a fire and subsequent collapse while operating at a 2-11 alarm fire at 2315 W. 50th Place. Another firefighter and a civilian were injured but there are no reports on their condition. Witnesses report that the roof collapsed while firefighters were operating inside. The MayDay Alert and 2-11 was requested by the 19th Battalion Chief who was the incident commander at the fire.
