KANPUR: Three members of a family, including a 60-year-old woman, on way to Siwan in Bihar, with a patient's body from AIIMS, New Delhi, died when the driver of the ambulance lost control over the vehicle and it rammed into a tractor on Agra-Etawah highway near Jaswantnagar in Etawah district on Saturday. The police reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.
Sushila Pandey (60), her sons Arvind (48) andSanjay (42) died in the accident. The injured persons identified as Vijay Shanker Pandey (45), conductor Bablu and ambulance driver Amod Kumar have been admitted to the Saifai Medical Institute.
Sushila Pandey, her sons Arvind and Sanjay and nephew Vijay Shanker Pandey were returning to their home in Siwan with the body of her husband Rajendra Pandey, who died of cancer at AIIMS in New Delhi when the accident took place. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
