Authorities are investigating a two-car accident that sent several people to the hospital and left an ambulance knocked over on its side.
The accident happened off Expressway 83 and South Bentsen Palm Drive in Palmview around 9:45 a.m. Thursday.
Palmview police told Action 4 News that the ambulance was headed south on Bentsen Palm Drive and going to pick up a patient at the time of the accident.
Investigators said a car clipped the ambulance when it entered Expressway 83 causing the emergency vehicle to roll over on its side.
Paramedics rushed those involved in the accident to local hospitals where they're being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
