COLUMBUS, Ga. — A medic was dragged 20 feet when he tried to stop an ambulance being stolen in Ga.on Monday.
The responder was doing paperwork inside The Medical Center in Columbus, when a psychiatric patient got into the vehicle and attempted to drive it away, according to The Ledger-Enquirer.
The medic gave chase, and was dragged along before being thrown by the vehicle, the report said.
Shortly afterward, the patient crashed the ambulance into a building and he was arrested. The medic was not seriously injured in the incident, and the patient suffered cuts and bruises to his forehead, according to police.
