Saturday, January 28, 2012 After knockdown and extinguishment a Hernando Fire Captain Suffered a medical emergency and was transported to Brooksville Regional Hospital after receiving treatment and CPR on the scene. Although the situation happened after the bulk of the operation was over and happened outside the hot zone, an alert BFD Captain issued an immediate MAYDAY/Firefighter Down call and brought all personnel on scene to the aid of their brother. He was in stable condition and talking and being moved to ICMU around 1900 hours.
