A fire truck from Linthicum was involved in a crash with another vehicle near the corner of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. and Belle Grove Road as it headed to a report of a dwelling fire in Brooklyn Park on Friday around 5:30 p.m, said county fire division chief Michael Cox. The truck from the Linthicum station was about five minutes into a call for help at a possible dwelling fire when it collided with another vehicle, said county fire division chief Michael Cox.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard and Belle Grove road about midway to the emergency call around 5:30 p.m. It came to a stop after hitting a utility pole, breaking the front windows and bashing in the front bumper of the truck.
It is not believed the fire truck was going through the intersection when the accident occurred he said.
Cox did not know what caused the accident.
Two firefighters and one person from the other vehicle involved in the crash were transported by ground ambulance to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor injuries, Cox said.
