Wednesday, September 1, 2010 A Firefighter was hurt on the job this afternoon in Nashville. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with second degree burns. The fire happened at a duplex in South Nashville. A mother and her young child were home at the time of the fire, but they were not hurt. When crews arrived, most of the roof was on fire. The firefighter was injured when a small part of the roof fell in on him.
