MADINA – An Indonesian nurse was killed Friday and seven people were injured in a Madina village when an ambulance crashed head-on with a car carrying a family, health officials said.
The ambulance, which was returning to Mahd Al-Dhahab after dropping off a patient at King Fahd Hospital in Madina, rolled over after the crash in Dhumairya village, said Abdullah Al-Taifi, Director of the Madina Health Department.
The nurse died at the scene and an Egyptian doctor, the driver, a patient’s relative who was accompanying paramedics on the way back to Mahd Al-Dhahab and the four family members in the car were injured, said Abdulrazzaq Hafiz, spokesman of the department.
