Three Firefighters were injured while operating at a house fire Saturday evening in Bedford County, Virginia (near Roanoke). A mayday was transmitted over the radio around 1815 hours after multiple agencies responded to a house fire on Joppa Mill Road. First arriving companies had a single-story single family dwelling with heavy fire showing from the basement and first-floor windows.
One career Firefighter was airlifted to Wake Forest Medical Center in North Carolina and two Moneta volunteer Firefighters were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital to be treated. KTIYPs.
