he man who Youngstown firefighters say was harassing them on the night their truck was shot up is in jail Thursday evening.
Police say Cameron Dyer, 30, was at the fire scene at Halleck and Elm streets Monday night.
He was picked up on a probation violation, and police say he could be charged with misconduct at the fire scene.
Crews left the scene of a vacant house fire in their truck late Monday. They say they saw the man standing in a driveway, then heard gunshots.
One firefighter was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital, while bullets narrowly missed another.
Police were sent to the scene Monday after firefighters complained that the man had been yelling at them and driving back and forth through the area.
Investigators have not tied Dyer to the shooting, but are still trying to figure out what happened that night. The Youngstown Police Department says he has had 57 “interactions” with police, from being a victim of crime to being arrested.
