A fireman injured while battling a blaze at a condominium complex last month has been released from the hospital, fire officials announced.
Firefighter Danny Zeigler was released from the hospital Friday and is at home resting, Capt. Todd Roser said.
Roser added Zeigler will undergo extensive therapy next week.
Zeigler fell through the roof of a condo while battling a blaze at DeLimon Place condos on Feb. 2.
He suffered second- and third-degree burns.
A GoFundMe page set up for Zeigler raised over $79,000 for expenses.
A blood drive is being held on Sunday to benefit the fireman.
It is being held at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 1501 W Causeway Approach in Mandeville from 8:30 am to 1 pm.
