A Fort Wayne, Indiana firefighter was transported to the hospital Tuesday afternoon for an undisclosed problem the firefighter experienced while battling a single-family structure fire.
Fire officials told WANE that heat was a big concern and that they were rotating firefighters in and out to give them time to cool down.
Firefighters found heavy smoke conditions upon arrival. The fire was knocked down in less than an hour.
