An elaborate break has occurred at the Six Nations Fire & Emergency Services Fire Station #3 (Ontario, Canada) with thieves cutting through a security fence, breaking through a double cinderblock concrete wall located on the rear of the fire station and they bypassed the security system.
Once inside, the thieves stole all of the equipment from 2 fire apparatus and attempted to steal the fire trucks damaging them significantly in the process.
Early estimates are that $200,000+ dollars of damage and theft has occurred as a result.
Until such time that they can get the station and trucks repaired and the highly specialized equipment replaced, they will not be able to reopen and respond from Fire Station #3, causing significant delay to that area.
CAN YOU HELP?
If you seen, heard or know anything (such as perhaps, seeing used fire equipment being posted for sale on social media) please notify the Six Nations Police at 519 445 2811.
Although they appreciate the kind offers to fundraise or create a go fund me to assist us with replacing equipment they assure everyone that they will be able to independently recover from this incident.
