A Cincinnati metro bus driver has been arrested on misdemeanor charges of vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter after police say a bus she was operating rolled and killed an ambulance worker in a school parking lot.
Police say they arrested 46-year-old Bridgette Robinson on Wednesday.
They say she drove students to Woodward Career Technical High School on Sept. 19 and had left her seat when the bus rolled forward. Police say it struck and killed 40-year-old Sherry Pettit, of Harrison, as Pettit was preparing to help a student passenger out of an ambulance.
Police say a second ambulance worker, the student in the ambulance and a teenage pedestrian were injured.
A Metro company spokeswoman says Robinson remains on leave pending the case’s outcome.
