Two people were killed early Saturday morning after a car crashed into an EMS ambulance in Louisville, Kentucky. The crash occurred around 0300 hours near the corner of Broadway and Hancock Street.
The Louisville EMS ambulance was heading east and was attempting to turn left when a vehicle traveling west crashed into it. The passenger in that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead later Saturday morning after being taken to University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition.
Three Emergency Medical Services employees were also taken to the hospital, along with the patient who was riding in the ambulance. The three EMS workers did not appear to suffer life-threatening injuries but the patient’s condition is unknown.
