Firefighter Randy Finley, 49, Snyder, suffered scrapes, bruises and a minor concussion Monday night in a crash while en route to assist at an accident scene.
Finley was headed east on Interstate 76 nine miles east of Brush, headed for a crash scene about 12 miles east of Brush, when the Hillrose-Snyder Fire Department sport utility vehicle he was driving went out of control on ice, Trooper Tonya Billinger of the Colorado State Patrol said.
The vehicle rolled and flipped about 3 1/4 times, Finley estimated.
Finley was treated at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, then released.
The vehicle sustained heavy side and top damage in the 10 p.m. wreck, Billinger said.
Sterling and Hillrose-Snyder firefighters assisted at at least two crashes on I-76 between Brush and Sterling Monday night; details on those accidents were not available at press time.
