We are saddened to announce the Line of Duty Duty Death of Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services, GA, Firefighter Stacey Leigh Boulware, age 44, who collapsed today, March 12, 2018 at Station 5 in Vinings after returning from back to back incidents that included a full arrest and a vehicle accident. Earlier in the day she had successfully completed the Department’s annual physical agility test (PAT). She was transported via ambulance to Kennestone Hospital, but passed away after resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful.
Firefighter Boulware began her fire career June 28, 1999. She had been a long-time member of the Cobb County Fire Hazardous Materials Team and served at several different fire stations during her distinguished career. In 2015, Stacey received the Firehouse Magazine Heroism award along with the Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services Firefighter Cross for heroism in rescuing a trapped occupant from a well-involved apartment fire. Arrangements are pending arrival of family from out of state. We extend our thoughts and prayers to the family of Firefighter Stacey Leigh Boulware during this difficult time.
