Three Beaumont firefighters battling flames at an auto body shop were trapped under a pile of rubble after the building partially collapsed.
Other firefighters were able to rescue their colleagues and only two of them sustained minor injuries. They were treated at the scene by Beaumont EMS.
Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to the fire at Torres Collision on Laurel Avenue around 2:30 a.m.
Firefighters found the rear of the business heavily involved by flames and began an aggressive interior fire attack.
The fire was brought under control after about an hour on scene. Firefighters were on the scene for approximately four hours.
The business sustained heavy damage from the fire. Fire officials say the cause of the fire appears to be deliberate.
