As you will recall, Hamilton (Ohio) Firefighter Patrick Wolterman died in the Line of Duty in December 2015 after operating at a fire believed to have trapped people inside a home.
FF Wolterman was the first Firefighter to enter the home that morning-and members went in because they thought people could be trapped. Upon entering, FF Wolterman fell through the first floor and died of smoke inhalation.
Investigators later proved that two men intentionally started the fire, and a a jury found Lester Parker, 67, (the home owner) and his nephew Billy Tucker, 50, guilty of aggravated arson and murder.
There are TWO REPORTS related to the Line of Duty Death of FF Wolterman. There is also an IAFF Local 20 response to the City of Hamilton internal report. All 3 are linked below as a learning opportunity.
