Police have arrested a man in connection to a fire that started in a two-apartment house in Pitcairn on Sunday, according to KDKA-TV, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s news partner.
Pitcairn police told the station that they used surveillance footage to identify a male they say worked alone to intentionally set the fire, which was reported around 4 a.m. at a home on Wall Avenue.
Only the first floor of the home was occupied, police said.
The residents escaped without injury, but two firefighters were treated on scene for smoke inhalation, according to KDKA.
The suspect’s name has not been released.
