Two firefighters sustained minor injuries early Wednesday morning while battling a second-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Windermere, according to the Orlando Fire Department Twitter account.
One male and one female firefighter were hurt after responding to the blaze at the Twelve Oaks at Windermere complex in the 6000 block of Oakbend Street, an OFD tweet said. One sustained burns, and both are expected to be fine, a tweet said.
No residents were injured. The series of tweets did not say how many homes were damaged or how many residents were displaced because of the blaze.
Efforts to reach the fire department were unsuccessful.
