NORTH HALEDON – Two Hawthorne firefighters were injured while fighting a house fire at 114 Ruff Court early Wednesday. Firefighter Timothy Shipman fell from a ladder and struck John D. Arturi as they fought the blaze, said Robert Bracco, the acting police chief. Hawthorne Fire Chief Joseph Speranza said that Shipman sustained a dislocated shoulder and was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson. Shipman was listed in fair condition on Wednesday afternoon, hospital spokeswoman Liz Asani said. Arturi was taken to Wayne General Hospital for minor injuries and released within hours, Spernaza said.
